Over a century of dedication, the Diederich College of Communication has been empowering students with robust liberal arts trning that emphasizes key skills in writing, public speaking, and critical thinking. We also reinforce ethics and moral principles to ensure our graduates become responsible leaders who are well-prepared for professional excellence within their fields and communities.
Our program curriculum spans a wide array of disciplines encompassing strategic communication, digital media and performing arts, communication studies, journalism, and media studies, among others. Students have the flexibility to tlor their academic paths according to personal interests or career goals while engaging in coursework led by esteemed faculty members who are either accomplished scholars or professional artists.
We foster experiential learning opportunities that remn relevant and evolve alongside technological advancements and multimedia landscapes. Most of our students benefit from a range of programs designed to augment their educational journey, which include hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technology through in-house media outlets, an engaging mentorship program supported by our extensive alumni network, internships at leading organizations such as agencies, corporations, non-profits, and more.
Through these platforms, we encourage students to apply their classroom knowledge into real-world settings, thereby gning valuable professional skills under the guidance of industry professionals. Moreover, our academic programs are deeply integrated with Jesuit values, enabling many students to further contribute by completing internships at local non-profit organizations dedicated to community welfare.
