Release 20231010: A Leap Forward for the Community
We are thrilled to announce the public release of Update 20231010, which consolidates development changes spanning November 2022 through August 2023. This update marks a significant milestone for OpenRA, bringing enhancements and improvements to both the gameplay experience and community engagement.
A long-awted feature has been reintroduced: the selection of darker player colors, enhancing visibility and personalization options in multiplayer matches.

The OpenRA community has been vibrant over the past two months, with various third-party mods and standalone games contributing to the ecosystem:
Combined Arms: This CC-focused mod became the second most popular on ModDB in June this year. It introduces units from different Command Conquer titles along with five factions each having its own subfactions, offering 25 singleplayer missions.
DORF Real-Time Strategic Conflict: Expected to be one of the most anticipated real-time strategy games, DORF’s trler and gameplay videos have significant interest.

Shattered Paradise:
An expansion for the Tiberian Sun mod featuring Mutant, C.A.B.A.L., Scrin, GDI, and Nod factions. The game is heavily inspired by Command Conquer 3, ming to add variety while mntning a vanilla Tiberian Sun feel.
OpenHV:
Originating from an ambitious project inspired by Dune 2, the game assets are now avlable under a free license. OpenHV continues development as standalone content.
Romanov’s Vengeance:
Based on Red Alert 2 mod, this game has units and balance heavily influenced by Command Conquer: Generals. It showcases a bl of strategic depth and engaging gameplay.
